World Hepatitis Day & Liver Health Awareness Month: Poster Presentation Competition

As part of the observance of World Hepatitis Day and Liver Health Awareness Month, the Departments of Roganidana and Kayachikitsa at Achutha Ayurveda Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Bengaluru, organized a Poster Presentation Competition for II BAMS and Final Year BAMS students.

The competition served as an academic initiative to enhance students' understanding of liver diseases and promote evidence-based learning through scientific presentation and discussion. Students presented informative posters on a wide range of topics, including Viral Hepatitis (A, B, C, D & E), Liver Cirrhosis, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), Alcoholic Liver Disease, Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Jaundice, Liver Function Tests, Prevention of Hepatitis, Lifestyle Modification, Organ Donation, and the Ayurvedic perspective on Yakrit Vikaras, including principles of prevention and management.

The event encouraged students to integrate classical Ayurvedic concepts with contemporary medical knowledge, strengthening their analytical skills, scientific temperament, communication abilities, and public health awareness. Through creative and evidence-based presentations, participants emphasized the importance of early diagnosis, preventive strategies, healthy lifestyle practices, and timely management of liver disorders.

Such academic activities are aligned with the institution's commitment to outcome-based education, experiential learning, interdisciplinary thinking, and community health promotion. The competition also provided an excellent platform for peer learning, faculty interaction, and the development of presentation and research skills among undergraduate students.

The institution congratulates all the participants, prize winners, judges, and faculty members for their enthusiastic contribution to the success of this event. Their collective efforts made the programme both academically enriching and socially impactful.

Together, we remain committed to creating awareness, fostering academic excellence, and promoting liver health—because a healthy liver is the foundation of a healthy life.
